Classes & Camps

Throughout the year, Anima - Glen Ellyn Children’s Chorus offers classes and camps. Participants do not need to be members of an Anima ensemble to participate. Classes & camps offer an opportunity to work with Anima artistic staff in a small group setting with a limited time commitment.

Class topics change each year; in 2024 we’re offering our Musical Theater Workshop and PopStart. Our KidSingers class is offered by session (Fall, Winter, and Spring) and is a perfect introduction to the Anima - Glen Ellyn Children’s Chorus ensembles.

Upcoming Classes & Camps

  • KidSingers

    September 22 - November 17, 2025
    KidSingers introduces our youngest singers to the magic of musical expression. KidSingers learn foundational music concepts in a fun and interactive class featuring movement, games, and singing. Concepts taught include introduction to solfège, beat, rhythm, and pitch matching.

  • Solo Spotlight

    March 5 - May 1, 2025
    Anima’s newest class offering, Solo Spotlight, will give singers a unique and exciting master class experience. Each singer will select a song (in collaboration with the Artistic Director) across any genre and workshop their piece in a small group setting. Not only will singers work closely with the Artistic Director and an accompanist to prepare their song, but they will also hone their constructive critique skills as they provide feedback to their fellow singers.
